From 2 November, the Engelspavilion is closed until the end of the november.
During the closure of the Engels House and the Museum of Early Industrialization, the Engelspavillon will serve as a contact point and information center for visitors. In the Engelspavillon you will find a small exhibition with information about the life and work of Friedrich Engels, son of a factory owner in Wuppertal, philosopher and world-changer. A chronology of Engels' life is presented in relation to contemporary history.
The Engels Pavilion also serves as an anchor point for industrial culture. It offers an overview of the industrial-historical features and locations, the industrial heritage routes as well as the tourist and industrial-historical offers in Wuppertal and the neighboring cities of Solingen and Remscheid. Here you will find publications and maps of the routes and sites of industrial heritage to help you discover the city of Wuppertal and the region Bergisches Land.
