Kontor 91

Reopening canceled!

Kontor 91, our location in the middle of Barmen's city centre, will reopen on 29 October 2020, 10:00 a.m. with a new special exhibition on the history of Wuppertal.

Blicke in die Vergangenheit
Wuppertal auf historischen Fotografien

Views into the past
Wuppertal in historical photographs

Historical photographs from the collection of the Wuppertal City Archive show fascinating views of Barmen and Elberfeld. These old views of the town turn back the wheel of history and allow a stroll through the hometown at the time around 1900. Among other things, the former municipal theatres, market squares and photographs of the suspension railway and the stations of yesteryear are shown.

The special exhibition is supplemented by models of the Wuppertal-Achse e.V., which were kindly made available on loan.
